Running from June through July, PCPL will be hosting programs for children, teens and adults. Each age group will have its own reading challenges and prizes. Participants are encouraged to attend summer reading events and check out books at the library. All programs at all locations are free and open to the public. Our summer reading events and prizes are funded through generous sponsorship from the Friends of the Powhatan County Public Library.
This year’s theme is “Color Our World”. See our calendar for all library events this summer.
Stop in to the library to see our Summer Reading prizes. The prizes are located at the front circulation desk, along with the boxes for the raffle tickets. There are fifteen prizes for children, three prize baskets for tweens (Movie Lover, Artist, and Pokémon), three prize baskets for teens (Movie Lover, Artist, and Bookworm Cottagecore), and two prize baskets for adults (Art Lessons, and Powhatan Festival of the Grapes tickets).
