Books to Go

During the COVID pandemic shutdown PCPL staff needed to find a contactless way to get library materials to patrons. The result was “Books to Go”, a system that was so well received that the library decided to keep it going after the shutdown ended.

For Books to Go when a hold is available for a patron, staff will check it out to the patron and place it in a labeled bag for them to pick up. Patrons do not need to stop interact with staff to pick up their materials. The Books to Go shelves are located in the library atrium in front of the small meeting room.
