2026 Summer Reading Program
Join us for the 2026 Summer Reading Program!
This year’s theme is “Unearth a Story”.
Running from June through July, PCPL will be hosting programs for children, teens and adults. Each age group will have its own reading challenges and prizes. Participants are encouraged to attend summer reading events and check out books at the library. All programs at all locations are free and open to the public. Our summer reading events and prizes are funded through generous sponsorship from the Friends of the Powhatan County Public Library.
Summer Reading Prizes
Stop in to the library to see our Summer Reading prizes. The prizes are located at the front circulation desk. There are nineteen prizes for children (including a prize donated by My Three Chambered Heart), six themed prize baskets for tweens and teens (Stranger Things, gamer, anime, movie lover, book lover, and strawberry themed), and two prize baskets for adults (a wine themed basket, and basket of Powhatan goodies).
